Features overview¶
NeNeTeePee-Stream-Kodi is a player and resolver: it finds a Usenet source for the title you picked, downloads it through your backend, and streams it into Kodi with a set of reliability features built for imperfect Usenet retention and low-powered devices.
The feature areas¶
-
Query NZBHydra2, Prowlarr, and direct Newznab indexers. See how NeNeTeePee-Stream-Kodi builds queries, how ID-based TV and movie search works, and how it merges results.
-
Keep only the resolutions, HDR formats, codecs, audio, and languages you want. Rank by relevance, size, or age, and optionally auto-select the best.
-
A local proxy preserves seeking, rewrites tail-
moovMP4s, recovers from missing articles, and offers optional remux and HLS tiers for tough files. -
When a source degrades mid-playback, NeNeTeePee-Stream-Kodi switches to a verified alternate release (matched by length + sampled SHA-256) without interrupting the video.
-
Use NZBGet instead of nzbdav: submit, post-process, and play the finished file from an SMB share or a local/mounted folder. Beta feature.

Stable versus Beta
Several features on these pages first shipped in 2.0.0-beta.x and are marked Beta feature. Stable (1.2.3) doesn't have them yet. See Beta channel and beta features.
Every one of these stages is configurable. The Settings reference documents each setting; the How it works section explains the internals.
StreamNZB backend¶
StreamNZB supplies server-ranked releases and direct HTTP playback through the existing TMDBHelper player. Configure its URL and stream token in the Playback backend tab.
